Question Answer
WHAT CAUSES THE BUILD OF STATIC ELECTRICITY AND WHICH PARTICLES MOVE? the build up of static electricity is caused by the build up of electrons transferring between the insulator and conductor.
give three examples of how static electricity can be a nuisance 1.they cause clothing crackles 2. car shocks and shocks from door handles
explain why a negatively charged comb is able to pick up little pieces of uncharged paper. induced current causes the charged comb to pick up little pieces of uncharged paper. in addition opposite charges attract.
explain how you can reduce danger of getting a static electric shock you can reduce this by earthing the current. so you could use earthing by getting a metal conductor such as a metal wire so that the electrons can go down to the earth
