1 Material Deprivation
Define Material Deprivation? Children don't have the money or resources that would give them an advantage in education
Private Education Parents must pay an extortionate price in order to get in private education, meaning higher financial resources, such as more facilities and smaller class sizes, thus resulting in higher achievement
Poor Overcrowded housing Students may have less room to do school work and therefore not doing as well as students with more spacious housing.
Poor Dieting Howard says that not being able to afford enough food or having worse nutrition effect on achievement. Children may not be able to concentrate as well and may become ill.
