Communication Factors

The sender The communication process begins with the sender, who is also called a communicator or source.
The receptor The person to whom a message is addressed is called a receiver or interpreter.
The message or content is the information that the sender wishes to transmit to the receiver.
The medium Also called a channel, the medium is the means by which a message is transmitted.
Feedback The communication process reaches its end point when the message has been transmitted, received and understood successfully. Feedback can be direct, such as a written or verbal response, or it can take the form of an act or action in response (indirect).
