Grammar based
1. Memorization
2. Lecture, based on the form of the language
3. Teacher centered. Examples and guided by the teacher
4. Materials: Teacher, flashcards, posters, board, notebook
Direct
1. Natural exposure to the language, no translation, no grammar.
2. English only
3. Material: images and actions, mimic
4. Teaching in a natural way ESL
Natural focus
1. Intuition and experience
2. Not grammar or structured based
  1. Very similar to the direct model, but focused on teaching like you would learn your first language.
3. Material: cases, audio, video, images, the student´s senses
Repetition
1. Audio and speaking
2. Teacher centered. Phrases and repetition. Audios, Role play, memorization.

1. Learning by the manipulation of materials
