The correct design and planning of an
investigation allows, on the one hand, to
achieve the objectives as efficiently as
possible and, on the other hand, to obtain
purely empirical results constructed through a
logical and orderly scientific and statistical
process of analysis of reality.
Collecting
Data collection refers to the use of a wide
variety of techniques and tools that can be used
by the analyst to develop information systems,
which can be interviews, survey, questionnaire,
observation, flowchart and data dictionary.
Analysis
The analysis within the research is the process that
consists in the realization of the procedures to
which the researcher must submit the information
collected in order to achieve the objectives that the
study proposes.
Presentation
of results
An effective presentation of the data
requires a combination of different
elements: text, tables, graphs, maps. A
text dealing with statistics should not
only list data in the form of words, it
should also tell us something about
them. Use short sentences. Try an idea
in each sentence.
Organisation
One of the two organizational axes of statistical
research is discipline. This has to do with the
organization of knowledge, which is composed of
disciplines, which lead to the grouping of individuals
into disciplinary communities and sub-disciplinary
specialties.
