Respiratory system
To obtain energy and get rid of carbon dioxyde use respiratory systen
Cells need oxygen(O2) to combine with nutrients and to produce energy
During this procces the cells produce carbon dioxyde(CO2)
Respiration
1)When we take a breath, air enters throught the nose and mouth
2)It passes down the pharynx and then to the trachea
The trachea is divided called bronchi(bronchus)
Each bronchus then subdivides into smaller bronchi(bronchioles)
At the end of each bronchiole is a tiny air sack called alveoli
Are covered by a network of capillaries
Alveolus
trachea
bronchus
bronchiole
diaphragm
3)Gas exchange take place in the alveoli
Oxygen passes from alveoli to the capillaries and into the blood
And the same time carbon dioxide leaves the blood and enters the alveoli
4)Carbon dioxyde leaves the body
