    1. PAST SIMPLE
      1. Action in the past taking place once, never or several times. Example: He visited his parents every weekend.
        1. Actions in the past taking place on after the other. Example: He came in, took of his coat and sat down.
          1. Regular verbs
            1. Add "ed"

                      1. NEGATIVE: I did not speake.
                        1. QUESTION: Did I speak?
                      2. PAST CONTINOUS
                        1. Puts emphasis on the course os an action in the past.
                          1. Example: He was playing football.
                          2. Two actions happening at the same time (in the past)
                            1. Example: While she was preparing dinner, he was washing the dishes
                            2. Action going on at a certain time in the past.
                              1. Example: When I was having breakfast, the phone suddenly rang.

                                1. I Was having a shower.
                                2. FORM PAST CONTINOUS
                                  1. I/HE/SHE/IT
                                    1. POSITIVE: I was speaking.
                                      1. NEGATIVE: I was not speaking.
                                        1. QUESTION: Was I speaking?
                                    2. YOU/WE/THEY
                                      1. POSITIVE: You were speaking.
                                        1. NEGATIVE: You were not speaking.
