- A Career Goal-The Way to be a Better Future It´s important to have
goals to plan for your future. This is true for a lot of thing, and it´s
true for careers, too. Look at Brenda Morgan. At the age of 21, Brenda
decided on a career goal. She wanted to be a chef. It is difficult to be a
chef, so she made a plan and followed it step-by-step. She didn´t
graduate from high school, so her first step was to get her GED at the
community college. After that, she studied at a cooking school for two
years. When she graduated, she worked as a chef´s assistant as the
chef. After five years as a chef, she felt confident about opening her
own restaurant. She now has a restaurant called Brenda´s Place. All
of her hard work and planning helped her reach her career goal.
