Application Of Differentiation and Integration in Electric Circuit
Objectives
To understand the application of derivative and integrals in
electric circuit
To learn the methods to create an electric circuit
To communicate mathematics both orally and in well written
sentences and able to explain solutions to problems
To able use technology to help solve problems , experiment,
integrate results and verify conclusion
Problem Statement
What is the relationship between Electric
Circuit With Calculus
Formula
For resistor : V(t) = I(t)R
For Inductor : V(t)=L(di/dt)
For Capacitor : V(t)= 1/C
Conclusion
Current is the derivative of Voltage and Voltage is
integral of the current. I= C dv/dt and V = 1/C where C
is the capacitor which is always a constant
Question : The electrical circuit shown includes a 40-ohm resistor, a
190mH inductor, a 100F capacitor and a battery which supplying AC
current of 50e . Find the voltage in the circuits. V(t) where t is measured in
seconds
