why it was created
1. ear damage can be very difficult to repair- cartilage is difficult to manipulate
2. wanted to find a way to grow spare body parts on living organisms

1. easy method to grow ear transplants
2. mice having similar nervous and circulatory systems
3. possibility of growing other body parts
4. no harm to humans
CONS
1. may be considered cruelty to animals
2. unnecessary-alternative methods used to grow body parts
