They had gods who shared animal aspects such as, the stag, the bull, the bear and the horse
The celtic god Lug was worshipped in europe as well as ireland

2. He was the most worshipped god
Manannan, the son of Lir, was a great sea-god
1. The travelled the oceans in his chariot
Badh and Macha were crow goddesses whose food was the heads of warriors slain in battle
Birds were often messangers from another world
Swans were symbols of Purity
The crane and the Raven were signs of bad fortune
