The reform included social and political changes from that moment in the history of Guatemala
the revolutinaries brought more modern weapons for used in the Government troops.

1. on june 3 rebels signed in patzicia the act, in wich they ignored the Government of Cerna, and was eleected as president Miguel Angel Garcia Granados
  1. Barrios was named commander of the western zone, in Quetzaltenango
    1. in this departament funded the newspaper named ... El Malacate...
      1. This fact provoked a conflict with Barrios and Granados
    2. a year later when Barrios occupied the power, he expropiated his property
      1. Miguel G.G. called to elections in April 1873
        Barrios take the power in june 4. 1873
