Radio Waves
1. Can be changed over time to send data
2. Waves are sent upward to bounce off the ionsphere

Ethernet LANs
1. Cables are straight-through to the pinouts so there won't be any problems with traffic
2. Engineers ignore the encoding and think more about the speed
3. Unshielded twisted-pair cables help prevent from electromagnetic interferences
Fiber-Optic Cables
1. Support longer cabling distances than copper cables
2. Make it easier for light to flow through to send a 1 or a 0
3. They don't create EMI effects
