Trust
  1. What Is Trust?
    1. By definition, trust is a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.
    2. Honesty
      1. Honesty is an important trait in a relationship. If you lie even once, you're friends and family will not be able to trust you anymore. Your whole relationship would crumble. Every time you said something, they would wonder, are you telling the truth?
        1. What is an example of honesty?
          1. If your friend asks you if you took their book, it is better to tell the truth than lie. Telling them the truth may sometimes be hard, but it will be better in the long run.
          2. Better to be honest than to mislead others, because then you are probably misleading yourself, too.
        2. Integrity
          1. What is Integrity?
            1. Integrity means doing the right thing at all times and in all circumstances, whether or not anyone is watching.
            2. Why is it important?
              1. Integrity will help build trust in a relationship. It demands truthfulness and honesty. Knowing someone can be trusted to make the right decision and stand by their morals is an important part of trust in any relationship.
            3. Consistency
              1. Are you considered reliable or would people say you are pretty flaky? Do you come through for others when you say you will? Are you keeping the commitments, big and small, that you make to others?
                1. If you can answer yes to these questions, you're probably considered trustworthy!
                  1. An example of being consistent would be telling you're friend you'll help her study for a test, and coming to help her no matter what.
                  2. If you said no to these questions, you might not be considered trustworthy or reliable in your relationships. This is something to work on, as consistency helped build trust in relationships.
                    1. An example of NOT being consistent would be telling your friend you'll help her then backing out at the last minute.
