CHRISTIANITY
  1. BELIEFS
    1. The Trinity
      1. The belief that There is One God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
      2. The Immaculate Conception
        1. The doctrine of the Immaculate Conception teaches that Mary, the mother of Christ, was conceived without sin and her conception was thus immaculate.
      3. ETHICS
        1. ABORTION
          1. church of england encourages it however although Church teaching has for a long time stated that a foetus becomes a person when the egg is fertilised, distinguished theologians such as Augustine and Aquinas said this didn't happen until between 40 and 80 days after conception Other Catholics might argue that the Church has a fixed position on the right to life of the foetus nonetheless
          2. CONTRECEPTION
            1. Christian ideas about contraception come from church teachings rather than scripture, as the Bible has little to say about the subject. As a result, their teachings on birth control are often based on different Christian interpretations of the meaning of marriage, sex and the family.

              1. In the Church of England, many Anglican clergy already bless same-sex couples on an unofficial basis but there is no authorised ceremony in England. The Anglican Communion still remains divided on the issue of homosexuality. Its first openly gay bishop - Gene Robinson of New Hampshire - visited the UK in November 2005 to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Changing Attitude, a group which campaigns for equality for lesbian and gay Anglicans in Britain.
            3. SACRED TEXTS
              1. RITUALS
                1. Confirmation
                  1. Confirmation is a sacrament, ritual or rite of passage practised by several Christian denominations. The word means strengthening or deepening one's relationship with God.
                  2. Eucharist
                    1. The Eucharist, which is also called the Holy Communion, Mass, the Lord's Supper or the Divine Liturgy, is a sacrament accepted by almost all Christians. Christians don't say that they 'do' or 'carry out' the Eucharist; they celebrate it. In some churches, the person who takes the leading role in the ceremony is called the celebrant.
                  3. SUMMARY
                    1.
