2. TRANSMISIÓN
Del ganglio de la raíz dorsal, llega la señal al asta posterior de la médula espina, hasta aquí la llamaremos primera neurona
En el asta posterior hace sinapsis la primera neurona con la segunda neurona., la cual cruza al lado contrario
por el tracto espinotalámico llega al talámo, donde la segunda neurona hace sinapsis con la tercera neurona
La tercera neurona llega a la corteza somatosensorial cerebral
Aquí se hace la percepción del dolor

COMPONENTE AFECTIVO DEL DOLOR
En el talámo se hace el análisis del dolor
Aquí se da lugar a la tercera fase
