2 SOCIAL CONNECTIVITY APPS
2.1 YouTube

Annotations:

  • Can create a class account and share media for learning.
2.2 FACEBOOK

Annotations:

  • Most widely used connectivity app in the world. Less secure than some other sites.
2.3 TWITTER

Annotations:

  • This app allows students/teachers/administrators to connect with people. PLNs
2.4 SKYPE

Annotations:

  • This app allows people to connect in real time. Multiple uses for this in the classroom. Collaboration.
3 MANAGEMENT APPS:
3.1 Teacher Assistant Pro

Annotations:

  • Allows the teacher to track multiple types of information in regard to the class. (ex. Discipline, Classroom Management)
3.2 Simple Note

Annotations:

  • Great note taking and organization app for students (text only).
3.3 Ever Note

Annotations:

  • This note-taking app for students allows them to take notes and implement multimodal media sources into them (for example the class YouTube page)
3.4 Remind101

Annotations:

  • Allows teachers/coaches to contact students and parents without ever having to private message or know their phone numbers!
4 TUTORIAL APPS
4.1 Pixntell

Annotations:

  • This app allows the teacher to make tutorial lessons with voiceover and pictures to share virtually anywhere
4.2 Doodlecast Pro

Annotations:

  • Probably the easiest app to draw and voice over at the same time. Create lessons to share or use again. Imports to multiple apps (such as keynote)
4.3 Explain Everything

Annotations:

  • Design, Screencast, interactive whiteboard tool that allows the user to import and export from virtually anywhere
4.4 SHOWME

Annotations:

  • This app allows the teacher to create lessons for students to use later if they need extra help.
5 PRESENTATION APPS: MULTIMODAL
5.1 KEYNOTE

Annotations:

  • This is Apples Version of PowerPoint.
5.2 BOOK CREATOR

Annotations:

  • This app allows the student to create "books" to present material. Great tool for teachers to use as well.
5.3 iMOVIE

Annotations:

  • This app allows students to make "movies" to present their materials. Can be still or video footage. Great tool for teachers as well
5.4 GARAGEBAND

Annotations:

  • This app allows the user to create music (or voice over for an iMovie or lesson).
