Christian action against injustice

3. Helping others is a religious duty - if you fail to do this, you fail God and fail to live as a true human being

  5. Specific example: Senegal where Christian Aid works with local farmers on reforestation, animal fattening and building manure ditches. The charity also helps with well digging (2 per year) and training (e.g. literacy classes for women)
Muslim action against injustice

  2. About 2.5% of savings
  3. Compulsory payment of money to help the poor and needy
2. The Ummah (community of believers) are expected to care for others
3. All wealth is a gift form Allah - it must be used wisely
4. SADAQAH: Voluntary charity given out of kindness
5. Islamic relief charity - provides help for people in povery e.g. helping flood victims in Pakistan. Motivation = religious teaching
Reasons for Prejudice

5. Peer/parental pressure (not thinking for yourself)
