before you conduct a survey you need to chose what type of survey to use, a questionnaire or tally would be good.
1. a hypothesis is a theory that can be proved or disapproved.
  1. we can test a hypothesis to see if its true by using a survey.
    1. someone analyses the test scores to see if the hypothesis was proved or not
types of question
1. open: persuades people to give a deataild answer .
2. closed: you give a small answer like no or yes.
3. multiple choice: you are given a variety of answers and you have to choose one.
data such as pictures,sounds,numbers and text is enterd into the computer.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF DATA
1. normal: data that falls in the expected range
2. extreme: data that is at one end of the range expected
3. erroneous: data that is clearly wrong
