Binary Logic
  1. Background
    1. Decides between 2 states - 1 and 0
      1. Uses simple transistors and capacitors
        1. Computers use transistors and capacitors to store data
          1. Can wire multiple transistors together for simple logical calculations - whether input 1 or 0
            1. These circuits called logic gates
            2. AND Gate
              1. Output true if both inputs true
              2. OR Gate
                1. Output true if either or both inputs true
                2. NOT Gate
                  1. One input - output opposite to input
                  2. NAND Gate
                    1. Combination of AND and NOT - output true when one or both inputs false
                    2. NOR Gate
                      1. Combination of OR and NOT - output true when either or both inputs true
