    1. lost 30% of wealth
      1. National debt rose to 3.5 billion by 1945
        1. Rationing of food, clothes and fuel continued
          1. During the Blitz- 60,000 people were killed + 100,000 were injured
            1. Half a million houses were destroyed and 3 million homes were badly damaged
            2. Rationing continued till 1954
