    1. usually managed with bed rest and pain meds
      1. usually C5-C6 or C6-C7 interspaces, stresses from disk degeneration (aging, occupational)
        1. CM's - pain/stiffness in neck, shoulder top, scapulae, sometimes pain in upper extr/head & paresthesia/numbness
          1. Treatment - rest, immobilize (1-2 days), NSAID's, opioids, muscle relaxants, surgery possible
