Media Messages
- A problem with a lot of messages is that kids get misinformed of what they can become!
- Another problem is that they form judgements of other children
- To help combat these messages, make sure
to talk to parents about what you see on
TV, the internet and especially commercials
- One thing you can do is look at pictures on
magazines and talk to your parents about the
reality of looking like that.
- Find role models that
are positive (Maybe
people you actually
know!)
- Talk to your parents about common
assumptions of girls and boys.
