     • Does not encourage having extra marital partners

     • Roman Catholic - against 'natural law'
     • Anglican Church - allows parents to plan in a more responsible way
     • Depends on their view where life begins

3. Marriage Ceremony

     • Declaration that there is no reason why the couple can't marry

4. Divorce

     • Breaking the 7th Commandment
     • Catholics who divorce are not allowed to remarry
     • At last resort, as God is always prepared to forgive sins
     • Jesus allowed divorced for adultery

     • Only as a last resort
     • The man says “I divorce you” three separate times and this ends the marriage.
     • Period of three months after the first of these declaration to allow reflection time
     • A woman may ask a Shariah court for divorce
     • Not legal in the UK, as Shariah Law isn't used

5. Sex

     • Before marriage = wrong
     • Adultery breaks the 7th connandment
     • Sex within marriage is a gift from God

     • Not allowed before or outside marriage
     • Living together is banned
     • Boys and girls are kept separate in the mosque
     • Adultery = sin
     • Sex within marriage is an act of worship
