                            1. socialisation fills the child with cultural value and norms which make them feel they belong in society.
                      2. some sociologists say some peoples process of primary socialisation is different to others therefore they have different norms and values learned from familys which may have an impact on education and life chances
                        1. middle class have better education and life chances than working class.
                        2. Marxists like Zaretsky suggest cultural values which are passed onto their children is an example of ruling class ideology
                          1. this is to make sure their children conform and are passive citizens
                            1. never challenge inequality or exploitation that is in a capitalist society
