Death (33AD)
In 33AD Pontious Pilate had Jesus arrested for Blastphamy
He had 4 trials in total
His final trial consisted of the crowd shouting if they wanted to free Jesus or a theif, though Pilate had people placed in the crowd, who shouted out the theifs name
He was sentenced to death by crucifiction
He was made to carry the width of the cross to the place where he would be killed
he wouldn't drink the wine that made the pain easier
He was made to wear a thorn crown
It took three hours for him to die, a relitivly quick time
Mary was allowed to take down Jesus' body and put him in a tomb
they had to do it quickly because, as Jews, they weren't allowed to touch the dead on the Saboth (Friday evening - Monday morning)
three days later Mary Magdolinne visited the tomb, only to find the body missing, distraught she weeped in the tomb, someone came up behind her
He asked why she was crying
she said someone has stolen the body of Christ
He told her to turn around
It was Jesus, living, with the holes in his hands to prove
the victim would die of sufication
The desert (31 AD)
Jesus enters the desert, he doesnt eat or drink
for fourty days and fourty nights
The devil takes this oppertunity to tempt him, Jesus was fully Human
Devil-If you are the son of God, tell this Stone to turn into a loaf
Jesus- Man does not live on bread alone
Devil-I will give you all of this
power and the glory of these
kingdoms if you fall down and
worship me
Jesus-You must
worship the Lord
your God and
serve him alone
Devil-If you are the son of God, throw yourself down from here, for
scripture says "He will put his angels in charge of you to guard
you, they will hold you on their hands in case you hurt your
foot against a stone."
Jesus-You must not put the Lord your God to the test
