Definition and anaylsis
1. the customer is shown the requirements specification:
  1. Discussion takes place for costumer to clarify needs and analyst to clarify understanding
    1. requirements specification is re-drafted
Design
1. Desinger immediately passes the design on to the developer
  1. Developer creates the designer' interpretation of the requirements spec
2. Designer asks for feed back from the costumer
  1. Costumers explains any flaws and design is ajusted
    1. The design meats the costumer's needs.
Implementation and testing
1. Produces and tests solution based on their own understanding of the design and requirements
  1. The developer's interpretation of the system is installed
2. Alpha version of system is produce and client asked to test it
  1. Client takes part in user testing and explains flaws
    1. Programmer adjusts the development so installed service meets client's needs.
The client is the costumer so the developed solution needs to meet their needs
1. The client must be consulted at all stages
  1. Lack of consultation => Lack of understanding => Client's needs not met
