  • A diet is the practice of eating food in a way to either decrease, increase or maintain body weight.
  • A healthy diet involves eating an appropriate amount of all essential nutrients and an adequate amount of water.
  • To support energy levels, a healthy diet MUST include a balance of calories from: - fats - protiens - carbohydrates
