Plant structure and photosynthesis

Plant cells are organised into tissues and organs
1. Plant are made of organs like stems, roots and leaves. these organs are made of tissues
  1. for example 1.Mesophyll tissue-this is where most of the photosynthsis in a plant occur.
    1. example 2: 2. xylem and phloem- they transport things like water, mineral ions and sucrose around the plant
      1. example 3: 3. epidermal tissue- this covers the whole plane

Photosynthesis produces glucose using sunlight
1. 1.Photosynthesis is the name of the process that produces 'food'
2. 2.Glucose is the name of the 'food' produced by photosynthesis
3. 3.Photosynthesis happens inside the chloroplast
4. 4.Chloroplasts contains a green substance called chlorochyll, this absobrs light and uses its energy to convert carbon dioxide from the air and water from the soil into glucose. Oxygen is produced as a by-product.

1. 1.sunlight-beatinng down on the leaf provides the enegry for the process

3. 3. Water- reaches the cels vis the xylem
4. 4.Carbon dioxide-diffuses into the leaf
