used prior knowledge of children's knowledge of Dr.Seuss
1. initial research
  1. we decided that these books would be the best to use to introduce the study
    1. Cat In The Hat
    2. The Lorax
    3. One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
    4. Fox In Socks
DAY ONE
1. Read two Dr.Seuss books
2. have students do visualization activity
3. discuss elements of the book
DAY TWO
1. "what do you notice about the book?"
2. "What would you do if the Cat in the Hat showed up in your room?" draw and write
DAY THREE
1. reread one Dr.Seuss book
2. have them write their own poem like Dr.Seuss
