Multiplying and Dividing Positive and Negative Numbers

1 When multiplying or dividing two integers
you need to check the signs. Firstly
multiply and divide the numbers as normal.
Use these rules to find the sign for the
answer:

1.1 Two like signs (both + or -) give a positive result.
Two unlike signs (one + and the other -) give a
negative result.

2 Examples:

2.1 -5 x 3 = -15

2.2 -10 x -2 =20

2.3 -12 divided by -2=6

2.4 15 divided by -3 = -5
