calculating the speed of waves
1 wave length symbol =λ
2 there are two equations we can use to calculate the speed of waves
2.1 speed (m/s) = Distance (m) / time (s)
2.2 speed = frequency (Hz) x Wavelength (m)
3 other equations
3.1 Distance = Speed x time
3.2 Time = distance / speed
3.3 Wavelength = Speed/ frequency
3.4 Frequency = Speed / Wavelength
4 A = Amplitude- the heigh of a wave from the middle
5 W = Wavelength= the length of one wave. measure from peak to peak!!
6 F = Frequency = number of waves produced per second. unit of frquency is hertz (Hz)
7 !!!!the Smaller the wavelengths, the higher the frequency!!!!! the bigger the wavelengths, the lower the frequency~!!!!
