Nebular Theory/Hypothesis

The most recognized & agreed upon the idea for the formation of the solar system.   Nebula (N./Sin.) Nebulae (N./Plu.)   Protostar: First/Original Stars of the nebula, since the nebula was a sphere. Nebula spins fast, bulges out, and due to the conservation law, the velocity got decreased eventually. Conservation of angular momentum p=mv Ex - Scratch Spin [Low Diameter -> High Velocity] [The spinning plate-like nebula is called an "accretion disk" or a "planetary disk"] [The bulged part is forming the protostar] [Some of the matters in the disk will accrete and form planetesimals [becoming planets]   Nebula: A cloud of gas & dust in outer space Supernova: An exploding star   DId the plane of the ecliptic form by coincidence? Why? ANS: NO! It forms when the nebula spins, so everything that splits out to form themselves is on the same plane.   Would you expect other solar systems to have an ecliptic plane? Why? ANS: YES! Because every nebula that spins as same as ours would form their own ecliptic plane too.

The Sun & The Stars

The sun is by far the most massive object in the solar system. 99% mass of all.
