I’ve always loved music, I used to sing around the house at the top of my voice when I was 5 and still do! I just love to sing, and listen to the fun sounds. I also have always loved music, it makes me feel relaxed and when i feel stressed it can cheer me up, and i never feel bored listening to it. Have you ever considered going on the x-factor? I haven’t really thought about it. I feel like I would get very dis-heartened if I were to get a no. I would want to give up or something stupid, I don’t want that to happen. I think if i had enough feedback, which i felt comfortable with i could consider it, but for now i have school and my music, so i would wait a couple of years or so. What is your favourite thing about performing? I just love the feeling I get. It makes me so happy, and i know its something i defiantly want to do in the future! It’s so much fun and I feel like I have loads of energy. I love it when i see a smile on peoples faces, like what i enjoy about listening to music, i can give the same feeling to them in a way. What would you be doing instead of singing? I have no idea! I would probably be stuck in some boring job [laughs] but I will see in the future and what happens, but i really hope i can get somewhere with my music, i know its a hard buisness to crack, so i have to try my hardest, which i will. Is there an instrument you’ve always wanted to play? I can sort of play the guitar but I would love to be able to play it serious enough to do at one of my gigs. Also, the piano is always a great instrument to know how to play, as it goes great with acousitc music, which is my favourite kind. What are your rehearsals generally like? Do you have a set time each week in which you practice or are they more random? I’m basically singing all the time anyway! But when I do want to get an hour or so of serious practicing, I will get it done, but I don’t usually set it for a certain time each week. Like i already mentioned, at the moment i have school, so i know i need to concentrate on that as well as my music, but i try to get as many gigs as possible, as its great practice for the future. How would you describe yourself? I feel like I would describe myself as quite bubbly, easy to get along with and a bit loud sometimes. I want it to sort of portray when i am doing my gigs, it gives the like factor about it, and people can then realate almost, and feel like they know me even if its the first time they’ve seen me. What has been your biggest challenge as a singer? I don’t feel like I have had one so far, I am still in school so at the moment it’s not really a full time thing, but i guess that could be seen as a challenge, as ive had to try and concentrate on two things that a important to me at the same time. I can’t wait to make it a full time thing. What advice would you give to someone wanting to start in the ‘music business’? I would just tell them to be them self and have fun. That’s what it’s all about. They should know that it is a tough thing to get into, and that if you work hard, and have great determination, you can go far. Who would you compare yourself to? I’ve never really thought about it. I guess in the way that I sing I am the same ‘type’ as Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith, sort of acoustic but i dont know the exact type of artist people would pin point me at. What do you want to happen when once you leave school? I can then concentrate only on my music, and it means I can book more places to do my gigs at, and more frequently to build a following. In the future I hope I can sell out tours and have my own album it would be amazing!
