She’s not feeling very well and I think a visit from you would cheer her up.” “Can I walk instead of taking the bus?” asked her daughter. “It’s such a nice day.” “If you want to. But I don’t want you taking the short-cut through the Forest Estate. And remember,” her mother warned, “no talking to strangers.” “I’ll be back before Daddy gets home. Bye!”

Red promised that she would be back before her father returned home.
