- 1Law of Orbits (ellipses)The planets don't rotate in a circular pattern, but an ovular, or elliptical pattern, with two focal points (one being the sun). The equation for this is r(1)+r(2)=2xa
- 2Law of Equal AreaThe speed of planets gets faster as they get closer to the sun and their speed slows when they get farther away from the sun.
- 3Law of Periods/HarmoniesThe farther away a planet's ellipse is from the Sun, the longer it will take for it to get all the way around the Sun (one period/year).
