Physics Required Practicals
Flashcards do conjunto (5)
- 1Specific Heat CapacityInsulate metal block
Place thermometer and heater in metal block
Attach to ammeter and power pack
Record temp change and energy after 30 minutes - 2InsulatorsPlace beaker inside bigger beaker.
Add cardboard lid and place thermometer in
Fill with hot water and find temp decrease after 15 minutes.
Repeat with insulation - 3I/V CharacteristicsConnect resistor, variable resister, ammeter and voltmeter over resistor.
Record the voltage and current over the resistor.
Change the variable resistor and calculate current / voltage.
Flip the cell and do it again. - 4ResistanceConnect crocodile clips to a wire.
Put them in a circuit with a voltmeter and an ammeter
Change the length of the wire and see how resistance changes. - 5DensityDensity = M/V
Weigh the object to get mass
Fill eureka can with water and place the spout in a measuring cylinder.
Add the object to the can and weight until all the water is displaced
Find density
