- 1What is the principle of superposition?When two or more waves of the same type meet at a point, the resultant displacement of the oscillations will be the vector sum of the individual displacements.
- 2When will constructive interference occur?If both waves have the same sign (positive or negative) displacement
- 3When will destructive interference occur?At the point of overlap, if one wave has a positive displacement and the other has a negative displacement
