Evolution Proofs
Flashcards do conjunto (5)
- 1Bio-Geography (When proving evolution)Biogeography - The study of the distribution of organisms,
scientists suggest common ancestor (continental drift) - 2Embryology (When proving evolution)The comparison of embryos
Many different types of animals have very similar embryos suggesting a common ancestor. - 3Comparative DNA (When proving evolution)Check if two different special DNA strands mix. Show similarity. E.g, humans and ape : 98.5% similar
- 4Comparative Anatomy (When proving evolution)Check for similar bone structures, similarities suggest common ancestor.
- 5Fossils (When proving evolution)Since not all animals lived at the same time, we can check for similarities between animals which lived at different times and check for similarities which would show evolution from a common ancestor
