Assumptions of Situational Leadership Theory	Situational Leadership Theory (SLT): contingency theory that focuses on followers. SLII model: extension and refinement - Four different leadership styles by combining: Directive behaviour (task), supportive behaviour (relationship) - Differnet situations demand different kind of relationship - successful leadership is achieved by selecting the right leadership style, contingent on level of follower development

Evaluation of Situational Leadership Theory	Strenghts: - high practicability/proven useful in training+development - emphasizes leader flexibility - underscores the unique and changing needs of different employees Weaknesses: - narrow focus on follwer characteristics - ambiguous conceptualiztion of subordinates development level
