Acts 2:16-21 Prophecy of the Holy Spirit and manifestation of charismatic gifts
Acts 2:38-39 Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.”
Acts 4:27-28 “For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose predestined to occur.”
Acts 10:39-42 “We are witnesses of all the things He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They also put Him to death by hanging Him on a cross. God raised Him up on the third day and granted that He become visible, not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen beforehand by God, that is, to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. And He ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and the dead.”
Acts 10:43 “Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.”
Acts 14:3 Therefore they spent a long time there speaking boldly with reliance upon the Lord, who was testifying to the word of His grace, granting that signs and wonders be done by their hands.
Acts 17:24-31 “The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things; and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and exist , as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’ Being then the children of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and thought of man. Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by..."
Acts 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon, them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying.
Acts 20:24 “But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.”
Acts 1 Jesus promises the disciples (not sure how large the group) the baptism of the Holy Spirit and charges them with being His witnesses. Matthias is selected (because of prophecy) to replace Judas by casting lots.
Acts 2 Pentecost
Acts 5 Annanias and Sapphira are struck dead for lying about what they gave. The apostles perform signs and wonders (as well as exorcisms it sounds like) – even Peter’s shadow heals. The apostles are put on trial again; the one guy gives the if it is not of God it will fail, and you don’t want to fight against God speech.
Acts 8 A great persecution causes the church to scatter. Philip performs signs. Peter and John lay hands on those who believe (rather than Philip) so that they may receive the Holy Spirit; Simon tries to purchase this ability. Philip baptizes the Ethiopian.
Acts 9 Paul is blinded and converted; Ananias lays his hands on Paul so that he receives his sight. Paul preaches. Peter heals a paralyzed man and raises Tabitha from the dead.
Acts 10 Peter has the vision of being told he could eat things that were previously unclean. Peter is called by Cornelius; he goes and the Holy Spirit falls upon them. Salvation is for Gentiles as well as Jews.
Acts 12 Peter is arrested and then delivered by an angel. An angle strikes Herod dead because he takes glory for Himself rather than praising God.
Acts 16 Paul and Silas are imprisoned as a result of casting the demon out of the slave girl. A great earthquake opens the doors to their cells, but everyone stays. The jailer and his family are baptized.
Acts 19 Paul rebaptizes the disciples of John. Paul lays his hands on them – they receive the Holy Spirit and prophesy/speak in tongues. God performs extraordinary miracles through Paul. Jewish exorcists attempt to use the name of Jesus and are beat. People quit practicing magic.
Acts 20 A believer, Eutychus, falls from a window-sill and dies; Paul raises him from the dead.
Acts 21 The disciples tell Paul through the Spirit to not enter Jerusalem. Agabus prophesies that the Jews in Jerusalem will bind Paul and deliver him to the Gentiles. Paul enters Jerusalem anyway and what is prophesied occurs.
Acts 23-28 Paul travels various places while being tried and imprisoned. He is shipwrecked at Malta, survives a snake bite, and heals people before being taken to Rome.
