Emergent properties	Information gathered from minimal perceptual information
Percept	A mental impression of something perceived by the senses, viewed as the basic component in the formation of concepts; a sense datum
Perception	The process of organisation and interpretation of sensory information.
The Principal Challenge	The relationship between physical stimulus and its perceived properties is very complex.
Sensation	The process by which the sense organs gather information about the environment and sends this information to the brain for initial processing
Transduction	Converting forms of energies into neural code to be processed by different parts of the brain
