available and it has been praised for the large number of defects that are

identified when it is used.

BENEFITS

Problems are discovered early, Integration testing is

easier, acts as documentation of the system and extremely accurate unit

test coverage.

DRAWBACKS

Time consuming, does not show absence of errors, hard to set

up realistic, useful tests and integration errors or system errors can be

missed.

White box testing, also known as structural testing or code-based testing, is a methodology which ensures and validates a software applications mechanisms.

ADVANTAGES

The advantages of white box testing include thoroughness,

automation, time, optimization, and introspections.

DISADVANTAGES

The disadvantages to white-box testing include its cost,

rapidly changing code, and missed cases.

The strengths and weaknesses of error-based versus more

To evaluate a particular quality attribute of an

architecture, a set of scenarios is developed that concretes the real meaning

of the attribute.

Scenarios can be used to evaluate the number of changes

needed to adapt the architecture and the system corresponding to the new

situation.
