Conteúdo do fluxograma
Year 1863
In 1863 a man called German Johann Philipp Reis invented the first telephone.
At first, Reis invented this telephone with scientific purposes if demonstrating the nature of the sound, nothing such as a commercial use neither a daily object.
Different Models
Year 1876
In 1876 two Americans applied for patents for different telephone inventions. On the same day, Alexander Graham Bell filed his patent application just 2 hours before Elisha Gray applied too!
Since Graham Bell was first to apply, he gained the legal rights for this invention. This is the only reason why the history remember Graham Bell as the inventor of telephony.
Graham's Phone had two parts: A transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter had a cylinder with a covered end, a needle and a battery. This phone worked like: You talk through the cylinder, and the voice will make vibrate the needle and paper. This vibrations will be converted into electric current which will travel through the wire to the other's receiver.
The Candlestick Model
Year 1892
The Candlestick Telephone was very popular at this time. This was the first model of telephone that got very popular. It had two parts: The Mouth Part (through where you'll talk) and the Hearing Part (through where you'll hear the other person). This would be the most popular phone during almost 100 years (From 1830's to 1930's).
The Rotary Model
Year 1897
At this point the Rotary Model was invented. The main difference between the two models was that each number of this Rotary Model had to be dragged to the end of the phone to dial number.
Also it combined in a single piece the Talking and Hearing parts of the Candlestick phone.
The First Mobile Phone
Year 1983
After almost 90 years later Martin Cooper revolutioned this invention, since he made the telephones to be mobile!
This new phone was huge, that's for sure, but it also let the talker to make a call through different places, since it was portable. This new type of phone was pretty expensive, around 3.995 US dolars.
Because of this invention, Cooper was considered the father of wireless communication.
CURSIOTITY!
Cooper invented this mobile phone while working at Motorola, who raised this invent. That same year, Dynatac launched it into the market.
First Flip Phone
Year 1996
13 years later, Motorola raised this new type of phone. The main difference was the weight; it was way smaller and practical since its weight was way less. Also another difference was that it had a cover that flipped for not calling without wanting it, for example.
This was crazily popular, since Motorola sold more than 60 Million phones of this type.
The First SmartPhone
Year 2007
In the 29th of June, 2007 the first SmartPhone (raised by iPhone) was invented.
Obviously it was another revolution for the telephony, since before this was invented, a phone just called and recieved calls, it could not recieve messages nor taking photos neither using other funcionts.
CURIOSITY!
Alexander Graham Bell shaw Reis' telephone at the "Smithsonian Institution" (March 1875), and probably used it for making is own type of functional phone.
