1. Servers

   • Computer Servers
     • Both are completly seperate Game Servers are ran by the same engine as the games such as Frostbite 2 or Java
   • Game Servers
     • For game servers they do not always need to be configured some games such as Battlefield or COD auto connect while others require an IPV4 address or server port. How do you configure it, if it does not work.
       • You would need to create a LAN server if you want someone to connect to you and than link your computers via Hamachi creating a VPN that allows you to link to each others LAN allowing you to connect
   • Sharing/Connectivity servers
     • How would you share data?
       • You would go on hamachi and link the computers and copy the file or data to the VPN shared data
     • Game Servers Need to share a limited amount of data
     • Computer Servers Automaticaly Share data how can you restrict it and make firewalls
       • How do you restrict Data
         • You would make the info you want to be restricted by using NFS Admin command %/lock/(enter file name)%
       • How do you make a firewall or whitelist
         • You would go into the server and go to the folder titled server properties and write "whitelist=true" than go the folder again and if a Whitelist folder was not created make one and at the top paste the pin of the game (shown in server properties folder) than go down two lines and write the persons ID name or Gamertag

2. Creating a simple server "Shell" for any platform

   • Can you copy a file of the game from their site or of the disk
     • NO
       • You will have to get ahold of the DEV and ask them if they would send you the game code
         • They might not for their own reasons or because it could be used to hack or curupt.
     • YES
       • Copy it using WIN Rar or 7zip to a new folder and install a engine like Java Python or frostbite 2 and you should copy a launch code from the engine to a new fodler and it should become a launch link to start it
         • Open the server Cfg and put ip= (your computer IPV4 adress)
           • Open start.bat in your bottom left corner and find the console app and type "ipconfig" and scroll down to the second ipv4 adress
           • Go to ipchicken to find your default ip
           • Default server port :25565
             • If you want to change port put Port=(whatever port you want)
           • Click Start.bat and let run until it stops loading code than type "stop" than hit any key when instructed
             • Reopen and it should work and type op (your name) for commands
