1. Passwords are needed to keep any unatharised users of your computer. If you didn't have a password then their could be a possibility your work can get deleted. They should include lowercase, uppercase, numbers and up to 8 characters

2. Anti-malware helps prevent any files that could spread a virus to other files and possibly delete any documents in that file

   • If it finds any malware it will quarantine it and let the user choose between Try and fix it, Keep it or Delete it

3. Encryption is when it scrambles data so that no one can read it without the key which will decrypt the scrambled data. If you didn't have it then it would be easier for people to access your internet

4. Firewall controls which programs send data packets and receive data packet this is because when you are trying to download something your firewall will warn you of any malicious files

   • Your firewall also quarantines the malicious file that was found and asks the user what they wanna do for example keep the file, destroy the file or try and fix it this is because if the user had no control over the file then it could be saved in the downloads which it would spread the virus
