CLOUD RELATIONS

1. Intra-layer Relations

   • Resource-Resource
     • Resources within a single layer communicate amongst each other to provide services to other layers. This relation can exist within a single domain or across several domains. Resources should always adhere to their domain policy.
   • Resource-Domain
     • Covers the management of a resource by a domain which could be of two types:
       • a) resources communicate with their own domain and b) resources communicate with other domains.
   • Resource-Collaborating Domain
     • It is used to manage resources in exceptional circumstances.
       • A resource communicates and is managed by its own domain, and a domain provides Cloud properties
   • Domain-Collaborating Domain
     • This relation shows a view of the interdependencies between the resources of a specific Cloud customer.
       • It is a bi-directional relation
   • Domain-Domain
     • This relation represents the interdependencies between a group of domains. These could either exist within a specific collaborating domain or across various collaborating domains
   • Collaborating Domain-Emergency Domain
