   • Stopping authorised people login in your account

   • Prevents harrmful data entering your computer
   • Used to help protect a computer network from intruders.
   • Controls which programs can send and receive data packets.
   • Used when program is trying to connect to another network.

3. Anti-Virus

   • Scan the computer periodically.
   • Quarantines any programs or files which are harmful.
   • Should be used when downloading new software from the internet.
   • Should be used on email attachments and.
   • Needs updating regularlyto make sure that it knows the latest threats.

   • encryption is the process of encoding a message or information in such a way that only authorized parties can access it and those who are not authorized cannot.
