Statistics: basic concepts

1. Statistics

   • Information taken from studies about a certain theme, mostly counts with numerical facts.
   • Qualitative
     • No numerical order taken up, order is set up by other characteristics.
     • Nominal
       • Giving variables an order by names, such as: hair color: blue, yellow, pink
     • Ordinal
       • Giving variables a scale, such as: Hot, warm, cold and very cold.
   • Quantitative
     • Order by numerical variables. Varialbes with order.
     • Discrete
       • Numbers made uo entirely, meaning that only compete numbers are accepted.
     • Continuous
       • Numbers with decimals.
