SCIENTIFIC METHOD

1. OBSERVATION

   • To observe is to carefully apply the senses to an object or phenomenon in order to study it.

2. SHEARCH FOR INFOTMATION

   • When the problem to be investigated; we have to search information in books or publications.

3. STATEMENT OF HYPOTHESIS

   • A hypothesis is a supposition which we try to eplain something

4. EXPERIMENTATION

   • Experimentation consists of reproducing the hypothesis in controlled conditions

5. ANALYSIS OF RESULTS

   • Data table
   • Pie chart
   • Bar chart
   • Graph

6. FORMULATION OF LAWS

   • Qualitative law: it can be defined through a verbal or written statement, but canot be expressed numerically.
   • Quantitative law: it can be expresed through numbers. Thus, in adition to being defined through a verbal or written statement, it can be represented as a matematical formula and as a graph.

7. Theories and models

   • A theory is a law wich set of facts.

8. The scientific report

   • It must be written clearly.
   • It must be original
   • It must serve
   • It must describe the experimental techniques
